This exceptional Nahavand carpet showcases a magnificent triple medallion design featuring three distinctive star-shaped hexagonal motifs arranged vertically down the centre, each rendered in warm coral-red tones with intricate geometric patterns and traditional tribal symbols. The composition displays remarkable complexity with the central medallion providing the dominant focal point, whilst the upper and lower medallions echo the design in complementary scales, creating perfect visual balance throughout the carpet’s length.

The rich field surrounding the medallions presents a stunning array of colours transitioning from deep burgundy-red in the lower section through warm terracotta in the middle to darker navy and burgundy tones in the upper area, creating a beautiful natural abrash that adds depth and character to the piece. The entire field is densely populated with traditional Nahavand motifs including stylised tree-of-life patterns, geometric florals, tribal symbols, and angular designs rendered in coral, golden-tan, navy blue, and cream tones that demonstrate the weaver’s masterful command of colour and pattern.

The carpet features striking golden-tan corner panels adorned with complementary geometric patterns and tribal motifs that frame the central composition beautifully. Multiple decorative borders in harmonious coral-red and golden tones feature traditional geometric patterns, stepped designs, and tribal symbols that provide the perfect finishing frame to this dynamic composition.

This Nahavand carpet exemplifies the bold aesthetic and exceptional craftsmanship of Kurdish tribal weaving from western Iran, combining dramatic colour transitions with intricate geometric designs and authentic tribal motifs to create a piece that celebrates the rich heritage of Persian tribal artistry with remarkable skill and artistic vision.

EVERY DESIGN IS UNIQUE

Due to their handcrafted nature, the pattern on our Persian Rugs may show slight imperfections, which are a hallmark of traditional weaving techniques and a sign of its authenticity and craftsmanship.

NATURAL 100% WOOL OR NATURAL FIBRES

All our Persian rugs and carpets are made with 100% wool from sheep or goats belonging to pastoral nomads who inhabit the Zargos Mountain Range in Iran. The flocks are herded during the spring months to the cooler climates of the high mountain plateaus and valleys, where the grass is abundant and rich in minerals. The fleeces grow thick and produce a lustrous wool, fine in texture and when spun, using many natural dyes, which have a high colour saturation.

PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED

All our rugs and carpets are professionally cleaned before we place them on sale in our Narberth showroom.
