HUSSAINABAD RUNNER 58O x 80cm 19′ x 2′ 5 “
This vibrant Hussainabad runner features a richly detailed all-over design, typical of the village weavers of the Hamadan region. The field is woven in a warm brick-red palette and filled with tightly packed geometric floral motifs arranged in a repeating lattice pattern. These small blossoms and diamond forms are hand-knotted in shades of deep indigo, emerald green, soft ivory, pink, and sky blue, creating a lively, almost mosaic-like surface.
Vertical bands of stylised flowerheads break up the repetition, adding rhythm and movement across the runner. The dense patterning gives the piece a wonderfully textured appearance, making it ideal for hallways and long spaces where an even, continuous design works beautifully.
A classic Hussainabad border frames the composition, combining a narrow repeating motif with a distinctive ivory-and-red outer band that brightens and anchors the entire piece. Subtle abrash in the dyes adds authenticity and character, characteristic of naturally dyed wool and traditional hand-knotted craftsmanship.

Due to their handcrafted nature, the pattern on our Persian Rugs may show slight imperfections, which are a hallmark of traditional weaving techniques and a sign of its authenticity and craftsmanship.
NATURAL 100% WOOL OR NATURAL FIBRES
All our Persian rugs and carpets are made with 100% wool from sheep or goats belonging to pastoral nomads who inhabit the Zargos Mountain Range in Iran. The flocks are herded during the spring months to the cooler climates of the high mountain plateaus and valleys, where the grass is abundant and rich in minerals. The fleeces grow thick and produce a lustrous wool, fine in texture and when spun, using many natural dyes, which have a high colour saturation.
