This richly patterned Hussainabad runner features a deep terracotta ground filled with an intricate, all-over lattice of classic tribal motifs. The design is composed of repeating geometric flowerheads, small diamond forms, and stylised rosettes, all hand-knotted in shades of midnight blue, soft ivory, rose, and brick red. Together, these create a beautifully textured surface that feels both lively and traditional.
The runner’s compact repeating pattern is typical of Hussainabad weaving, giving it a rhythmic, tapestry-like appearance with no central medallion—perfect for long, narrow spaces where consistent patterning works best. The darker indigo outlines around each motif add depth and contrast, while the touches of ivory provide highlights that lift the design.
A narrow border frames the runner, decorated with small connected motifs and fine detailing in the same warm, earthy palette. The wool pile has a soft sheen, and subtle abrash (natural colour variation) gives the piece a warm, authentic character, emphasising its handmade origins.

NATURAL 100% WOOL OR NATURAL FIBRES
All our Persian rugs and carpets are made with 100% wool from sheep or goats belonging to pastoral nomads who inhabit the Zargos Mountain Range in Iran. The flocks are herded during the spring months to the cooler climates of the high mountain plateaus and valleys, where the grass is abundant and rich in minerals. The fleeces grow thick and produce a lustrous wool, fine in texture and when spun, using many natural dyes, which have a high colour saturation.
